What We Believe
We are an independent Church. We are part of the brotherhood of Christian Churches and Churches of Christ, but we have no governing diocese or hierarchy outside our local congregation. We have no creed but Christ and no doctrines except those which are found in God’s Holy Word. The Bible is our only rule of faith and practice.
- We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God.
- We believe in Jesus’ virgin birth, His sinless life, the miracles He performed and the lessons He taught.
- We agree with Romans 3:23 that “all men have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Because of man’s sin a great gulf existed between man and God. We believe Jesus was sent by God to bridge that gulf and provide a means of salvation for all mankind.
- We believe that Jesus was put to death on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins, and that His physical resurrection was the ultimate victory over death.
- We believe that Jesus ascended into heaven and that he reigns forever at the right hand of God.
- We believe that Christians come to salvation by God’s grace, through faith in Jesus Christ and baptism by immersion into His name.
- We believe that God’s salvation is available to everyone.
